Evenkia is the territory in the North of Central Siberia in Russia. East of the Yenisei river, in the basins of the Kotuy river, Lower and Podkamennaya Tunguska. Evenkia is municipal district of Krasnoyarsk Krai, with the center in the village of Tura, with area of 768 thousand km2 (4.5% of the territory of Russia), home to only about 15 thousand people, the majority – in three villages. At example France has 643 801 km² and over 60 million people. Indigenous people – Evenki, Yenisei Yakuts and Keta. In the North of Evenkia located in the Eastern part of the mysterious plateau Putorana you will find deserted mountainous country with flat, table-like tops and steep canyons, with clean and rich in fish rivers and deep lakes. Hundreds of waterfalls, including one of the most powerful (Bellunese) and one of the highest (Kandinsky) in Russia, added to the uniqueness of this country. That's where the territory is called "pole of inaccessibility" - virgin land for fishermen. On the Putorana plateau you can go to places where people have never been, literally "no human foot".
According to the environmental monitoring the region is the most ecologically and clean area in Russia, and possibly in the world. On the shore of one of the many Putoran lakes - Vivi, from which flows river with the same name, is the geographical center of Russia.
On the banks of lakes and rivers is common to find multi-colored agates, amethyst "bombs" and other minerals, remains of a mammoth bones or other long-extinct animals, such as a giant bull, can also become trophies for the traveler.
In rivers and lakes of Evenkia usual inhabitants are: East Siberian grayling, lenok, whitefish (river and lake whitefish), Siberian whitefish, broad whitefish – Shakur, Peled whitefish, muksun, tugun, whitefish char – Nera, Arctic char, burbot, perch, crucian carp and, of course, the owner of the taiga rivers – Taimen. The largest Taimen ever seen in Russia, was caught in the river Kotuy, it weighed 104 kg. The largest weighed Taimen we pulled was 42 kg (2010). Some rivers and floodplain lakes are home of a huge pike. In the lakes of Putorana there is palya and Dryagina char, copies of which "pull" up to 15 kg. In the Lower Tunguska and some of its tributaries there is sturgeon and sterlet.
The group is served by experienced, proven guides who know how to do everything you need in the taiga. They operate boats, put-remove camp, process the caught fish, prepare food, arrange a bath, etc. If necessary will share secrets of catching, will help to adjust tackle. …
The fishermen only fish. Help, of course, welcome... :)
We meet in Krasnoyarsk where we start our chelenge of Evenkia. From the airport we transferred you to the hotel. Refreshing and you have one day off. Ussualy we use this day for overseeing Krasnoyarsk , visit in really good equipped fishing shop and try something from local menu. Early morning next day we are transported to the airport and fly to place called Tura. It will take about 3 hours. After arrival our helicopter will wait for your group just on the airport in Tura ( if you are ready to go straight away fishing). Or we go to the hotel and fly next day morning. Anyway after helicopter fly, at the point of arrival set camp or starting alloy. We use modern tents: three-quadruple for two, with a tambour, an anti-mosquito net (tents are completely protected from penetration of a midget), with water resistance of 10000 mm of waters. St. Cabins-the company tent, also protected from mosquitoes. Used for bed mats + inflatable bed. Sleeping bags travelers bring their own. If necessary, the tents are heated with gas lamps.
In "mosquito time," the camp is usually put in the braids, where there are fewer midges, away from the forest. On the water mosquitoes bother a little. However, you have to be prepared for the fact that in some, rare days, the attacks of insects is palpable. You must have your preferred repellents and nets to protect your head. Of course, we always have both in stock. Since mid-August, the mosquito has almost none.
To get around the anglers we use modern inflatable boats with a lifting capacity of 900 - 1000 kg, with rigid or inflatable bottom, with imported outboard motors, including jet engines.
In the camp, if necessary, run the inverter generator (Honda), there is satellite communication, radio.
